Job Description
Correctional Health Partners (CHP) improves the success of our clients by helping them provide high quality, efficient care for their patients. CHP brings the same effective principles used in the community to correctional healthcare, resulting in satisfied clients and timely, cost-effective patient healthcare services.

We are looking for a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) for our Garfield Facility in Glenwood Springs, CO to provide inmates with routine and emergency healthcare in the medical unit of the correctional facility and will conduct health histories on inmates. The RN may makes referrals on behalf of inmates to the staff physician, mid-level provider, dentist, mental health professional, or specialist in alcohol and drug abuse treatment (as applicable). Also determines the need for emergency hospital care and ensure all medication is administered in accordance with standard operating procedures and as ordered by the authorizing authority. Schedule will include night and weekend availability.


LPN Experience Required:

-Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing Program.
-One year of full-time experience providing hands-on healthcare.
-One year prior professional nursing experience, preferred.
-Prior correctional clinical experience preferred.
-Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
-Diplomacy in dealing with patients, officers and the public.
-Current Licensed Practical Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
-Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
-Current PPD or chest x-ray.
-Current CPR certification with the ability to perform CPR as needed.
-Ability to work a minimum of 1 shift every 90 days.

RN Experience required:

-Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices

-Able to perform basic to intermediate level of competence with computer software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
-Current PPD or chest x-ray
-Current CPR certification with the ability to perform CPR as needed.
-Ability to work a minimum of 1 shift every 90 days
